SAVE2396Born in Cheyenne, WY, John became a professional stage actor at age 20. He left his native state to pursue his acting career, which lead him to NYC, where he worked steadily in national tours and regionally. During this time he also had a recording contract with Laurie Records, releasing two songs nationally. He sang and played clubs in the west Village. He put aside his recording ambition to co-write the first C&W Broadway musical: Play Me A Country Song, which opened on Broadway at the Virginia Theatre in 1982. It was unsuccessful, and he and his wife left NYC to begin a peripatetic life in regional theatre. During that period he wrote four musicals, all of which have been successfully produced by professional theatre companies from the south to the mid-west. He is now changing his focus back to song writing and singing, even though the odds are stacked against him. He's Back In The Game.
